Dentist Ezra H. Kantor, DDS
Dr. Ezra H. Kantor graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1972, achieving membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national honor society for dentistry. The following year he completed a general practice residency at The Bronx Lebanon Hospital. After working for a year as an associate in private practice, Dr. Kantor entered into a residency program for prosthodontia, the specialty for esthetic and restorative dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dental Medicine. At the end of his two year program, he married Jill and relocated to California.
Dr. Kantor obtained a position as Associate Professor of Prosthodontia at the University of the Pacific and began a private practice in San Rafael, California. He specializes in implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and tooth colored restorations. He has been restoring implants for more than 25 years of the 42 he has practiced and has been placing his own for more than 20 years and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
He became a dentist because he enjoys working with his hands. He paints, draws, sculpts and makes models. Ship models have recently been of particular interest.
He also likes to read history. He is especially interested in the American Civil War period.
He and his wife, Jill live in Petaluma, California where they play Bridge and dance West Coast Swing. He and Jill have three grown children. His son Grey, who is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and a member of the dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, practices along side him and his profile can be seen on the following page.
