He restored implants for more than 25 years of the 42 he practiced, placed his own for more than 20 years, and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
He became a dentist because he enjoyed working with his hands. He paints, draws, sculpts, and makes models. Ship models have recently been of particular interest. He also likes to read history. He is especially interested in the American Civil War period.
He and his wife, Jill live in Petaluma, California where they play Bridge and dance West Coast Swing. He and Jill have three grown children. His son Dr. Grey, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and a member of the dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, took over the practice following his retirement.
